LUAS TRAM NETWORK

The LUAS is Dublin's light rail tram network. It comprises two lines: the Red Line and the Green Line, which intersect in Dublin city centre. The network has been operational since 2004 and has become a vital part of Dublin's public transport infrastructure.

Future Plans:

There are plans to expand the LUAS network further. This includes:

LUAS Cross City: This project, connecting the Green Line to Broombridge on the northside of Dublin, was completed in 2017.
Connecting the Red and Green Lines: There are long-term plans to connect the two lines, creating a more integrated network.
Extending the lines: Feasibility studies have been carried out on extending existing lines, such as the Green Line to Bray and the Red Line to Lucan.
