ABOUT THIS CHURCH

WORTH A VISIT

A family member lived in Newbridge but in 2012 she decided to sell it but she invited me to spend Christmas in Newbridge before the keys were handed over to the new owner in January. I had a great Christmas and the weather was beautiful but for a variety of reasons I did not revisit the town until August 2024.

St. Conleth's Catholic Church: A Pillar of Faith in Newbridge

St. Conleth's Catholic Church stands as a testament to the deep-rooted faith and rich history of Newbridge, County Kildare. This majestic church, dedicated to St. Conleth, the first Bishop of Kildare and the patron saint of the parish, has served as a spiritual haven for the community since its construction was completed in 1852.

The church's architecture reflects the Gothic Revival style, with its pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and stained-glass windows creating an atmosphere of reverence and awe.
