EATOKYO

THE STAFF HAD A WELL DESERVED HOLIDAY ON CHRISTMAS DAY

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN DUBLIN CITY CENTRE [THE STAFF HAD A WELL DESERVED HOLIDAY ON CHRISTMAS DAY]

I have a policy of supporting local restaurants, so I regularly visit establishments on Capel Street. However, my restaurant of choice, for a variety of reasons, has been Eatokyo for the past three years.

I have always attended a family Christmas dinner away from the city centre, but this year was different, as I was invited to a friend's house and, I must admit, had a wonderful day. On St Stephen's Day, I was due to meet up with several friends at Eatokyo on Capel Street, but as I was invited to a "postponed" family Christmas dinner, the meet-up has been rescheduled for Friday the 3rd.

Eatokyo: A Culinary Gem on Capel Street

Before delving into the intricacies of Capel Street's restaurant scene, let's appreciate what makes Eatokyo special. This isn't just another sushi restaurant; it's a place where you can savour authentic Japanese cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, noodle dishes, or other Asian delights, Eatokyo has something to tantalise your taste buds.

Online reviews consistently praise the quality of the food and the friendly service. One reviewer described the vegan options as "insanely good," highlighting the tofu steak served on a sizzling hot plate. Another raved about the Rainbow Roll, a beautiful and delicious combination of prawn tempura topped with salmon, tuna, avocado, and spicy mayo. Even the accompanying salad was a work of art, "resembling a decorative garden." It’s clear that Eatokyo has a loyal following who appreciate its dedication to authentic flavours and welcoming ambience.
